Jr. Engineer - CPP (Welder) Job in Chandrapur at Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Determine appropriate welding process and equipment based on the job requirement.
• Operate grinders and other tools for preparing parts before welding.
• Repair machines, structures, and equipment by gap filling and welding pieces.
• Carry out welding in vertical, flat, and overhead positions as required.
• Read and understand fabrication drawings and set up components accordingly.
• Perform cleaning and inspection of welding equipment and tools.
• Handle general fabrication, cutting, and assembly work as instructed.
• Responsible for fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment, free from all forms of harassment and discrimination.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001) with emphasis on customer focus and meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
• Support process effectiveness and efficiency in day-to-day work.
• Contribute to OH&S objectives, report incidents, and promote a safe workplace culture.
• Fulfill responsibilities related to environmental aspects and impacts, compliance with environmental obligations, and pollution prevention.
• Support achievement of environmental objectives and targets.
• Understand and comply with the organization’s Energy Policy and contribute to energy performance objectives and targets.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in Arc, Gas, and MIG/TIG welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Skilled in using grinders, cutting torches, and related tools.
• Strong safety orientation and attention to detail.

Abilities:

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights when required.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy-duty fabrication and welding tasks.
• Problem-solving ability for on-site repair and maintenance.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of different welding materials and electrodes.
• Understanding of fabrication and welding standards.
• Awareness of workplace safety and PPE usage.
• Familiarity with power plant equipment and general maintenance practices.
