Hewlett Packard is hiring for the role of Java Development Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Designs and develops solutions that protect and manage cloud-native apps and data.
• Assists in the design and implementation of new cloud-based systems.
• Develops and coordinates cloud architecture over various areas, including application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security.
• Collaborates with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
• Ensures efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
• Works with senior engineers in the design and deployment of software in cloud environments.
• Takes direction from senior engineers with regard to best practices within the cloud engineering function.
• Troubleshoots incidents, identifies root causes, fixes and documents problems, and implements preventative measures.
• Supports priority projects with direction, maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, and sharing information via standardized reports.

Requirements:

• Four-year Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in distributed & cloud computing, software & cloud design, programming languages, agile development methodologies, or a related field.
