Emerson is hiring for the role of ISW-L1 Tech Support!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Connecting with customers to understand their needs and determine how help can be provided to enable them to utilize industrial software from Emerson and achieve their goals.
  • Handling customer technical support cases through phone, email, chat, and other communication media.
  • Updating Emerson support website with technical tips and brief documentation.
  • Evaluating software lifecycle management potential through assessment of the compatibility of new programs with existing programs.
  • Helping in continually improving Emerson software through review against objectives and specifications, creating improvement requests, and reviewing proposed changes.
  • Maintaining system functionality by testing computer components.
  • Achieving Software Lifecycle Management objectives by collecting relevant data, identifying and evaluating possible actions, and suggesting a course of action.
  • Delivering infrastructure design and engineering service projects using Industrial software with 3rd party applications.
  • Installing and configuring Industrial software solutions on DeltaV and other third-party platforms.
  • Visiting customer facility as necessary to assist with Software installation and troubleshooting.
  • Providing technical direction and support for Industrial Software within Cloud-Hosted offerings.
  • Collaborating with team members to improve processes and documentation related to software technology testing and deployment.
  • Contributing towards the improvement of the technical support function from Industrial Software CoE.
  • Coaching and developing other system engineer skills.
  • Reporting progress and issues to designated supervisors on a regular basis.
