Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for the role of Inventory Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Onboard and train suppliers on MRC Connect & train Logistics Planning Analysts as necessary.
• Work with Global Purchasing to prioritize supplier onboarding and address any issues related to supplier performance on MRC Connect.
• Monitor the performance of Material Planning Analysts and suppliers for proper system utilization and adherence to the process rules.
• Assist and track Performance Reporting Metrics.
• Escalate as needed to resolve MRC Connect issues by working with the MRC Core team and IT help desk.
• Assist Material Planning Analysts in working with suppliers to analyze and resolve MRC-related questions and issues.
• People: Works effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers at all levels.
• Leadership: No direct reports. Will demonstrate leadership skill level required to collect, compile, assimilate, communicate, and maintain information as required. Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards within this diverse global organization.
• Strategy: Perform analytical and administrative tasks to resolve MRC grief and focus on improving issue resolution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or Logistics/Supply Chain.
• 6-Sigma and CPS Knowledge. Must have good verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of ERP Systems   Purchasing, Receiving, Material Tracking System, ASN, Engineering/ Releasing, Execution, Pull Trigger, and other local applications that apply to the supply chain value stream.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills & ability to perform data query analysis
• Good Oral & Written Communication skills
• Interpersonal, teamwork, organization, and communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles
• Value behaviour of Integrity, Teamwork
• Desired Qualification:
  • A background in Manufacturing, Operations, Inventory Management, Material Requirements and/or Supply Chain/Logistics.
  • APICS Certification  
  • Familiar with company policies and procedures with a strong department background.
  • Able to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
