Index Data Research - Analyst Job in Gurgaon at ISS STOXX

ISS STOXX is hiring for Index Data Research - Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Should be aware of the data pointers like Shares and FF research, Dividend research, Foreign Ownership Limit research, Withholding Tax research and Suspension research
• Understand the overall business structure of the company – verify the ownership structure of various shareholders and make sure correct block/unblock rules are applied.
• Basic understanding of Corporate Actions including Stock Dividend, Stock Splits, Cash Dividend and Rights offering etc.
• Performing detailed analysis on any new data set onboardings and finalizing the vendors
• Having a good understanding of data vendor terminals like Thomson Reuters, FactSet, Bloomberg and EDI
• Displays a positive attitude towards work and understand the criticality of our business. • Basic knowledge on the equity asset class will be an advantage
• Ability to work independently on strict deadlines, eye for details
• Team player with an ability to work in challenging situations
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, word and Excel
• Excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills
• Innovative thinker with solution-oriented approach

Requirements:

• Master’s degree from a reputed institute with 2-3 years of primary and secondary research experience.
• Experience in the financial research domain and understanding of Indexing industry would be preferred
• Experience in SQL and Python is a must.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively in a result-oriented, team-driven organization.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation.
• Be able to work under pressure and to handle multiple tasks time-efficient and autonomously in parallels and work on tight deadlines.
• Be able to work and learn autonomously without minimum supervision and training (self-starter/self-learner).
• Be a team-player, orientated attitude and ability to act as a proactive, independent team player with hands-on mentality.
• Knowledge of market data vendors (i.e., Refinitiv, Bloomberg, SIX, ICE etc.)
• Fluent in English both oral and written.
