Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring for the role of Import/Export Associate II!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Ensure all activities are executed in compliance with company good practices and client requirements.
• Complete ongoing training on new regulations concerning clinical supplies and GxP activities.
• Participate in and support department project teams, including the development of clinical supply strategy.
• Assist in the development and suggestions for improvements to update departmental SOPs.
• Train or assist junior staff and ensure that import & export activities are done according to company requirements, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Actively assist the Trade Compliance Manager in updates related to applicable regulations in the country of his/her scope.
• Execute the import & export plan in place for each project and actively make suggestions according to local operation requirements.
• Serve as a local point of contact related to import, export, and trade compliance in-country.
• Meet with the Trade Compliance Manager to discuss import & export issues, provide appropriate recommendations and alerts.
• Suggest and participate in ongoing training on new regulations concerning import/export activities.
• Maintain filing of import-export documentation and update metrics indicators reports.
• Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

Requirements:

• High/secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years).
• Experience in clinical trial supplies import/export in a CRO would be beneficial.
• Intermediate English and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail, adaptive to changes, ability to utilize proper channels of communication to voice concerns and suggestions.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer), including keyboarding skills.
• Capability of working in a team environment as well as working independently with direct supervision.
