About this Job

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. HR Department Setup & Policy Development

  • Establish HR processes, systems, and documentation from the ground up
  • Draft and implement HR policies such as:
  • Attendance & leave
  • Working hours
  • Code of conduct
  • Disciplinary procedures
  • Performance management framework
  • Create employee handbook and HR forms/templates
  • Ensure consistency of HR practices across both locations

2. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Understand manpower requirements in coordination with department heads
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment:
  • Job descriptions
  • Sourcing & screening
  • Interview coordination
  • Offer letters and joining formalities
  • Design and execute structured onboarding and induction programs
  • Maintain recruitment and hiring metrics

3. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Maintain employee records (digital & physical)
  • Manage confirmations, promotions, transfers, and exits
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends
  • Handle employee grievances and act as first point of HR contact

4. Payroll & Attendance Management

  • Coordinate payroll processing (in-house or with external vendor)
  • Ensure accurate attendance, leave, and overtime records
  • Manage statutory deductions and payroll compliance inputs
  • Support monthly payroll closure and reporting

5. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws

  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws including:
  • PF
  • ESIC
  • Professional Tax
  • Shops & Establishment Act
  • Coordinate with consultants/vendors for filings and audits
  • Maintain statutory registers and documentation

6. Performance Management & Employee Development

  • Implement performance appraisal systems
  • Assist managers in goal setting and performance reviews
  • Identify training needs and coordinate basic training programs
  • Support employee growth and career development initiatives

7. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

  • Promote a positive workplace culture
  • Organize employee engagement activities and communication initiatives
  • Support conflict resolution and team harmony
  • Act as a bridge between management and employees

8. HR Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare and maintain HR dashboards and reports:
  • Headcount
  • Attrition
  • Attendance
  • Recruitment status
  • Provide HR insights to management for decision-making
