Jar is hiring for the role of HR Generalist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Work closely with the TA team for hiring needs
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information and prepare and submit payroll reports as needed
  • Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and commissions
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements
  • Process bi-weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payroll run accurately and on time
  • Manage payroll discrepancies and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees
  • Assist with payroll audits and compliance reviews
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns
  • Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts and issues
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
  • Assist employees with benefit-related questions and issues
  • Support the performance appraisal process
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
  • Assist in creating, revising, and communicating HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure organization-wide compliance with HR policies
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Conduct employee surveys and analyze feedback
  • Manage the exit process for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews and processing necessary paperwork
  • Assist in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
  • Coordinate workplace safety training and compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certification is a plus)
  • 1-3 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on generalist responsibilities and payroll
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in payroll and HR software and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
