Hardware - Module Reliability Engineer Job in Bengaluru at Apple Inc.

Apple Inc. is hiring for the role of Hardware - Module Reliability Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Identify high risk failure modes early in the design life cycle, and collaborate with design engineering teams to reduce the risk.
• Develop new tests based on the physics of failure and expected user behaviors, and deliver test equipment and specifications that are critical to validate the product reliability,
• Work with vendors to meet reliability requirements.
• Support failure analysis, providing direction based on your evaluation of the test data.

Requirements:

• M.S. or PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field desired
• Possess extraordinary problem solving abilities
• Strong understanding of the physics behind material and device properties (mechanical, electrical, and optical)
• Adept in statistical data analysis and clear reporting
• Have exposure to failure analysis techniques as well as material characterization tools (SEM, FTIR, CT scanning, etc…)
• Capable of auditing a test facility
• Flexibility to accept new tasks, and ability to travel freely in Asia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once
• Ability to complete tests and resolve problems in an unattended manner
