Koch is hiring for the role of Hardware Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design custom electrical and electronic systems for automotive applications, including block diagrams, schematics, PCB layouts, and component selection.
• Ensure designs comply with EMC standards and resolve related EMI issues.
• Utilize design support tools, including simulation software, WCCA, DFMEA, and participate in design reviews.
• Follow thorough documentation and revision control practices throughout the design process.
• Develop and execute design validation plans (DVP), secure customer approvals, and initiate relevant laboratory, bench, and simulated product tests.
• Provide support for in-vehicle testing of electrical hardware systems.
• Perform simulations using risk reduction tools to enhance design reliability.
• Consider material costs and costing processes in the design phase to optimize cost-effectiveness while meeting performance requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (BE/B Tech) in Electrical/Electronic & Communication Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of demonstrable experience as a hardware engineer.
• Expertise in using ECAD tools such as Mentor, Altium, or Allegro.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in documentation standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to collect and present data effectively.
• Results and execution-driven, consistently delivering on commitments and stretch goals.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvements.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and design environments.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and automation frameworks.
