Calix is hiring for the role of Graduate Trainee!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Assist in manual testing of web applications.
- Write and execute test cases based on requirements.
- Assist in creation of sample test data based on requirements.
- Report bugs and inconsistencies with clear documentation and reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve defects.
- Participate in test planning and issue tracking discussions with local and global teams.
- Perform regression and smoke tests before production releases.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly check-in calls with local and global teams.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of software development and testing life cycle.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Familiar with functional concepts and terms related to web applications.
- Ability to document and communicate issues clearly.
- Strong communication skills.
- Nice to have – familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira, familiarity with API testing with tools like Postman/Insomnia.
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science / Information Technology or related streams. Should have graduated in 2024/ 2025.
