Unilever is hiring for the role of Global Mobility People Partner!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • You manage moves across a variety of policy types including long-term international assignments, short-term assignments, commuter assignments and permanent transfers.
  • You shall manage inbound moves to at least one region in Asia or a combination of countries in Asia.
  • You are accountable for all aspects of the assignee experience, managing the end-to-end process with internal partners and external vendors.
  • You build close relationships with numerous stakeholders, multi-tasking and maintaining a tight control of day-to-day service operations.
  • You are the go-to person for your in-country stakeholders and pillars/business areas.
  • You have a good understanding of employment law, immigration, personal tax, social security, payroll compliance and vendor management.
  • You create and maintain assignee and process documentation.
  • You are responsible for payroll instructions and compliance.
  • You drive local consistency with global policies and processes, with a strong focus on data integrity and compliance.
  • You proactively seek feedback and make suggestions on improving the employee experience based on the feedback you receive.
  • You work in collaboration with your colleagues on a day-to-day operational level, prioritise and resolve problems, and participate in presentation and capability-building sessions as required.
  • You take the lead and become a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ in a particular area (e.g. tax, immigration, systems/digital, your regional country etc.), sharing knowledge to build team capability.

Requirements:

  • You have a strong customer focus, excellent stakeholder management/partnering skills, and are adept at handling sensitive conversations.
  • You show high levels of emotional intelligence, empathy, and cross-cultural awareness.
  • You demonstrate agility and have a can-do attitude, with the ability to take the initiative and to recommend quick and pragmatic solutions.
  • You enjoy a challenge and complex problem-solving.
  • You have an analytical mind and apply critical thinking skills to assess the wider implications of potential approaches.
  • You are tech-savvy, have excellent presentation skills and are proficient in MS
  • Office applications.
  • You can work effectively in a virtual team environment and have strong organisational and project management skills.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Experience
  • Relevant Human Resources experience, preferably in a partnering role.
  • Proficient and broad understanding of HR systems, processes, and third-party providers is desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations would be beneficial.
  • Prior Global Mobility, tax, and/or immigration experience is desirable.
  • Prior experience working with external vendors would be advantageous.
