Burns & McDonnell is hiring for the role of GIS Trainee!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Assist in the development, analysis, and management of geospatial data.
• Support GIS data development, data maintenance, and data preparation for various projects.
• Utilize ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online to create maps, perform spatial analysis, and manage data.
• Assist with GIS data creation, and mapping for the engineering and surveying departments while supporting both internal and external project teams.
• Assist with developing Survey web maps on ArcGIS Online to be used in mobile apps like Field Maps and Survey123.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet client requirements and deliver high-quality GIS services.
• Assist with quality control of GIS data and deliverables.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or a closely related natural science field. A master's degree in a similar field is a plus.
• Basic understanding of GIS principles and concepts.
• Experience with ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 or higher; experience with ArcGIS Pro is preferable over ArcMap.
• Basic knowledge of ArcGIS Online.
• Demonstrated GIS skills, including data analysis abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
