JoVE is hiring for the role of Full Stack Developer!

Responsibilities of a Candidate:

• Develop and maintain the front end of applications using AngularJS and Ionic Framework.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Build and optimize data storage solutions using Mongo database.
• Implement and maintain security best practices in both front-end and back-end development.
• Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code following coding standards.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and responsiveness of applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application components.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with expertise in AngularJS and Ionic Framework for front-end development.
• Strong proficiency in Java Spring Boot for building RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Mongo database.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Comfortable working in a remote team environment.

Weekend Availability:

• Ability to work on weekends as most of the team works on weekends.
• Compensatory time off is provided on other weekdays for weekend work.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of cloud platform - AWS.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Mobile application development experience with Ionic Framework.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
