Frontend Engineer Job in Bengaluru at smallcase

Smallcase is hiring for the role of Frontend Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop end-to-end network optimised, responsive Web Apps from the design implementations of our  web platform, mobile apps, internal tools
• Build out responsive front-end for all customer touch-points (Flexbox & CSS grids)
• Work with React JS/Vue. The framework should not be a limitation
• Deal with data visualisation and presentation - robust graphs using D3/React-Vis/amcharts etc
• Build reusable components & utilities for cross-project sharing
• Write clean, maintainable & documented code with solid test coverage
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain/scale and improve

Requirements:

• 2 - 4 years of experience 
• Strong foundation of HTML5 & CSS3, preprocessors (Less/SCSS), CSS in JS. Solid understanding of JavaScript and the ability to pick up any framework quickly
• Experience with react is a big plus. Keen on keeping up with evolving react ecosystem and its code  practices
• Proficient with ES6/7/8 syntax and concepts
• Familiarity with layouting practices. Ability to write semantic, SEO friendly markup
• Passionate and opinionated about beautiful design with an eye for detail
• Proficient knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and graceful degradation
• Interest in building things from scratch. A knack for creating reusable custom components and utilities
• Knowledge of build automation tools (gulp, webpack)
• Willingness and affinity to learn. We do not expect you to know everything...yet
