Flight Dynamics Engineer Internship in Bangalore at Pixxel

Pixxel is hiring for the role of Flight Dynamics Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Conceptualising and maintaining the overall architecture of Pixxel's Flight Dynamics System (FDS)
• Developing and maintaining the codebase of the flight dynamics system
• Defining and maintaining the control interfaces between other components of Pixxel's ground segment
• Participating in the overall ground segment development, verification and validation activities
• Participating in pre-launch and LEOP activities
• Collaborating with mission and operations team to effectively understand, collate and translate requirements into design specifications

Requirements:

• B.Tech/B.E/MS  in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science or equivalent 
• Proficiency in satellite astrodynamics
• Proficiency in one of the flight dynamics libraries like STK, GMAT, FreeFlyer or Orekit
• Familiarity with satellite ground segment architecture and tools
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant work experience (astrodynamics, orbit control, mission design)
• Strong development skills in Python or Java
• Ability to understand, break down, and solve complex problems independently
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred:

• Familiarity with satellite operations
• Familiarity with software development tools such as version control (Git/GitHub), Jira is preferred
• Knowledge or experience in any of the following would be a plus, Code parallelisation, Unit tests, CI
• Knowledge of software engineering principles
• Knowledge or experience around developing REST APIs
• Knowledge or experience using SPICE toolkit
