About this Job
- Ensuring company-level book closing process every month, quarter, and year in terms of timelines and accuracy.
- Preparation of Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statements, Cash Flows, and Notes on Accounts as per applicable Companies Law and Banking Regulation Act). Custodian of the internal control framework related to all accounting processes. Drives cross-functional compliance.
- Developing and maintaining financial accounting systems for Invoice Processing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, payroll, etc., Managing the bookkeeping function, using the Accounting Packages, including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.
- Conducting reviews of the accounting operations. Analyses trial balances including aging, movement, recoverability, and impairment. Perform variance analysis and sense checks.
- Ensuring adherence to audit requirements including coordination with Statutory, Tax, and Internal Auditors for timely closure as per calendar.
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Documenting and maintaining complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures as required to ensure that company financial information is secure.
- Exploring and identifying opportunities to simplify tasks, and generate process efficiencies and digitization/automation possibilities.
- Assistance in the budgeting process in conjunction with the FPNA team.
- Over 3-5 years of work experience in banking/financial/other industry
- Educational Level: Chartered Accountant
- Understands accounting principles, standards (IFRS, IGAAP, IND AS), and Banking Regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software
- High level of proficiency in using the Accounting software
