Moody's is hiring for the role of Financial Data Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Independently deliver complex credit assessments, including loss given default, speculative-grade liquidity, and credit estimates, producing high-quality credit opinions.
• Apply Moody’s methodologies to create adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts, and graphs that enhance the ratings and research process.
• Perform complex data intake, scrubbing, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability for research and ratings.
• Analyze financial reports and collaborate with analysts and accounting specialists to apply relevant accounting concepts to issuer evaluations.
• Partner with ratings and support analysts to define data requirements, adjustments, and inputs critical for credit analysis.
• Lead projects, drive process enhancements, and review junior team members’ work to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards. 

Requirements:

• 0-2 years’ experience in credit/financial data analysis/ capital markets and interpretation; experience in fundamental finance or accounting is an added advantage
• Proficient in technical and operational aspects of assigned deliverables with working knowledge of applicable credit methodologies.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English; advanced interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized, with a proven ability to excel in team-driven environments. 
• Masters in Finance, Economics, or Business/Accounting from premier institute or qualified CA with 2+ yrs of experience.
• CFA/ FRM preferred
