American Express is hiring for the role of Financial Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Prepare and scrutinise of returns and statements filed with RBI in accordance with the RBI guidelines
• Review daily and month-end accounting entries ensuring compliance with relevant RBI reporting and India GAAP accounting rules
• Prepare inputs required for various purposes including RBI inspection and Statutory Audit
• Perform regular reviews and deep dive analysis of the legal entity P&L and Balance Sheet
• Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly submissions to External & Regulatory Reporting
• Keep abreast of the RBI notifications and regulatory developments taking place in form, procedure, and method of reporting to RBI
• Ensure and monitor quality and change control over financial-related processes including, regulatory reporting and compliance, credit reserves, new products, and intercompany transactions
• Interpret critical accounting policies and resolution of accounting and reporting issues, providing accounting thought leadership

Requirements:

• The qualification required is CA, CPA or MBA finance (Premium Institute only) with 2-3 years of relevant experience in the Financial Controllership(F&A)/Month-end Close profile
• A strong financial accounting/reporting background incl. IFRS/IGAAP/USGAAP
• An analytical bent of mind with a positive attitude is a must to survive in a dynamic environment requiring high levels of collaboration
• Strong knowledge of AMEX businesses, Finance and Reporting Systems would be preferred
• Strong process orientation and analytical problem-solving skills, demonstrated process improvement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong collaboration and relationship skills
