VIAVI Solutions is hiring for the role of Finance Manager - FP&A!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Create and maintain monthly financial metrics and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. The position will be responsible for several areas of the month-end NSE segment reporting process and related analytics. The position will be the key point of contact for several key areas of the FP&A process, specifically the annual budget and forecasting initiatives for the NSE segment.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Build financial models to support informed decision-making based on available data.
• Comfortable jumping in to support a wide variety of projects and initiatives, utilizing your strong business partnering skills. Respond to ad hoc requests from business partners and leadership.
• Seek opportunities to improve financial processes and enhance efficiency, while monitoring economic, industry, and market trends to provide insights into potential impacts for VIAVI.
• You will be comfortable utilizing forecasting techniques to predict future financial trends and outcomes.
• Grow and lead a team of financial analysts to support the increasing responsibilities of the FP&A organization in Pune.
• Participate in special projects to support strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required; an MBA or CA is preferred.
• Significant experience in finance, preferably within the technology or hardware manufacturing industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience working in a global, publicly traded, matrixed organization is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• An understanding of US GAAP, SOX, and GL accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and financial statement analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
• Familiarity with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, Essbase, MS Access, Tableau, and OBIEE is desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
