Finance Associate - Client Accounting Job in Pune at ZS Associates

ZS Associates is hiring for the role of Finance Associate - Client Accounting!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Contact commercial customers regarding overdue accounts (revenue collection, insufficient payment follow-up, payment disputes, and query resolutions).
• Investigate and resolve customer billing and other account discrepancies causing non-payment (jointly with the billing team).
• Maintain a weekly AR ageing report within SAP to allow thorough client follow-up.
• Prepare periodic dashboards/management reports to track collection progress and escalate unpaid accounts.
• Process global customer remittances (invoice and payment reconciliation, posting payments to correct G/L accounts) and non-invoice transactions (rebates and cash-on-account).
• Download bank statements and reports (EDI) daily, and reconcile statements and transactions.
• Prepare a rolling monthly Cash Application report for management.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies.
• Complete ad-hoc requests from project managers.

Requirements:

• B. Com with a strong record of academic success (minimum 60%).
• 2 to 4 years of relevant A/R or collections work experience, IT Industry experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP Finance modules, and knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Strong computer skills (advanced MS Excel functions, MS Word proficiency).
• Able to maintain a positive and professional demeanour when working with difficult customers.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; effective listening and good telephone skills.
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
• Motivation, personal initiative, and strong team/interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytic skills and problem-solving ability.
• Proven attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
