McKinsey and Company is hiring for the role of Finance Associate!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• You will collaborate with various global offices to support US GAAP accounting, playing a key role in month-end closing for global entities. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day accounting, preparing schedules for critical accounts, and validating the accuracy of transactions in compliance with GAAP.
• You will primarily focus on preparing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and accountability. For items outstanding for more than 90 days, you will draft detailed action plans and maintain proper documentation to facilitate resolution and closure.
• This role requires expertise in financial accounting and financial analysis, as well as strong attention to detail to ensure the integrity of financial operations and adherence to US GAAP standards.
• You will work closely with local offices globally, participating in monthly governance calls, representing and reporting on reconciliations, and fostering collaboration to provide a true and fair view of financial statements. You will also ensure that balance sheet accounts are reconciled effectively, minimizing disruptions during month-end reporting.
• You will support ad hoc requests by understanding the end-to-end accounting flow of various service lines such as P2P, O2C, and R2R. You will analyze processes, identify opportunities for automation, drive simplification, and act as a thought partner to McKinsey offices to resolve challenges.

Requirements:

• Completed B.Com (Hons), CMA, CA Inter, or MBA qualifications.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, and accounting concepts to effectively perform role responsibilities
• 1+ years of work experience in general accounting, preferably within a multi-national shared service setup.
