Fortive is hiring for the role of Field Applications Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Act as the technical expert for Tektronix instruments, including Semiconductor Parametric Analyzers, Source Measure Units, Power Supplies/Loads, Battery Testers, PicoAmmeters, and Nanovoltmeters.
• Provide expertise in semiconductor material testing (e.g., SiC, GaN) and device testing (e.g., MOSFETs, IGBTs, Memories).
• Specialize in measurements for parametric testing, low current measurements, data acquisition, EV battery testing, and fuel cell testing.
• Deliver technical consultancy for the assigned product portfolio and market segments.
• Conduct trainings and provide application support to resolve customer challenges and ensure satisfaction.
• Present at industry seminars and forums as a subject matter expert.
• Build strategic technical partnerships and establish close relationships with key customers.
• Gather and share customer feedback on product enhancements with internal teams.

Requirements:

• Master’s/PhD in Electronics Engineering or Semiconductor Physics, focusing on Semiconductor Devices/Materials, Semiconductor Fabrication, or Nanotechnology.
• Bachelor’s degree with excellent credentials and relevant experience may also be considered.
• At least 2 years of industry or research experience.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor physics, materials, and devices.
• Experience with test and measurement instruments such as Parametric Analyzers, Source Measure Units (SMUs), Power Supplies, and Electronic Loads.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills.
• Capability to handle multiple customer assignments simultaneously.
• Self-motivated with a learning mindset and ability to work independently.
• High ethical standards in business conduct.
• Willingness to travel within India (~25%).
• Position based in Bangalore.
