Do you clearly understand the Indian (South region) solar PV market and the nuances around B2B clients and their buying patterns and the uptake in solar PV energy trends? Is it this commercial inclination that helps set you apart when connecting and engaging with potential clients?

Solavio Labs Pvt Ltd has an immediate opening for a Sales Executive to join our team in Coimbatore. The candidate will be responsible to sell, market, and develop a market for Solavio’s products. The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities for robotic cleaning solutions to be implemented in Solar PV Plants across South India. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new PV plant and pre-existing PV plant owners in South India This opportunity's core focus will be for you to use your impressive project identification skills as well as your communication and negotiation skills to analyze and close on business opportunities all the while bringing immense value to the company and using your in-depth knowledge in the relative solar PV technologies (especially Operations and maintenance) to clinch deals and exceed expected targets. As the Sales Executive, you will serve as the face of the company and should, therefore, be ready at all times to answer hard-hitting, difficult questions that potential and existing clients could ask - a task you find very easy due to your quick thinking nature and experience in the industry! Aside from the business development aspect, you will also be well versed in legal matters, proposals, and handling RQFs that will assist in obtaining partnerships that the company can leverage.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree: Business, Environmental, or Engineering degree (MBA degree preferred)
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience selling EPC services within the solar PV industry
  • Proven track record as a great Sales/Business Development executive able to develop a strong sales pipeline and meet strict KPI's
  • Experience handling proposals, RFQ's and other legal matters
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands
  • Ability to travel 50% - customer meetings, project sites, tradeshows/event etc.
  • Prior renewable energy industry experience, particularly solar PV EPC project development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years' quota carrying sales experience
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of quickly establishing, developing, and closing sales contracts
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; equally adept at one-on-one and group communications
  • Strategic thinker who is sensitive to customer needs and can understand complex customer relationships
  • Proven ability to understand, negotiate and execute complex project contracts
  • High energy, positive and ability to work well in a team environment with proven attention to detail
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales and business development is Solar PV industry. Prior market
  • exposure in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh is preferred.

Scope of Work

  • Close robotic cleaning purchase or service contracts for solar PV projects across different segments (rooftop/Ground mount)
  • Generate proposals, quotes, and formal RFP working with executive teams to negotiate contract terms and close transactions
  • He/she has the ability to win/close new business, maintain positive Client relationships (day to day) and throughout the entire lifecycle of the project.
  • Report, track and update accurately the company pipeline, project award/losses, outstanding or submitted proposals to clients
  • Monitoring market and customer trends and expectations; input and maintaining the business strategy and plan, support on strategy of competitive positioning and the strategy to win
  • Participate in development of business development forecasts and pipeline analysis along with responsible for input to updating and creation of marketing and sales collateral

Working Hours

Standard office hours of 9:00am-6.30pm (Monday to Saturday). The role may require additional

operating hours from time to time.
