Asian Paints is hiring for the role of PMDI Executive!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Take up projects of packing material development which may be initiated because of requirements from New Product Development, Purchase, Marketing or design change requests raised by plants.
• Track progress in all the projects taken up by the department to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Understand and analyze customer complaints, propose solutions and implement the same.
• Identify cost effective packaging, propose and take up cost saving projects.
• Prepare monthly reports to be circulated to hierarchy and Purchase – TC-based recommendations, TC-based deletions, Upapproval Calendar, Savings Tracker, six monthly self-certification of APQS processes, Tracker of Cost Increase because of Packaging Changes, Objective List Status Tracker.
• Analyze and propose changes in specifications and test methods.
• Comply with 5-S requirements for their respective workstations and common areas belonging to department.
• Work on IT enablement projects.
• Build knowledge base on recent trends in packing materials, printing technologies, etc.
• Development of new vendors – vendor audits, shortlisting and make a proposal for new vendor introduction.

Requirements:

• Post Graduate in Packaging.
• Minimum 2-3 years in PM Purchase, PM QA, PM Development.
• Basic knowledge of various quality systems and quality improvement tools.
• Knowledge of packing materials, their manufacturing processes, printing technologies.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good negotiation skills on commercial terms and conditions, pricing, etc.
