• Hands-on individual contributor role responsible for producing excellent quality code, adhering to expected coding standards and industry best practices.
• Demonstrate high levels of ownership and commitment to deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with the SM team, Account team, and stakeholders to probe technical problems or clarify requirement specifications.
• Participate in various projects and new initiatives; develop, deploy, and make technical suggestions involving ETL tools such as Talend and Spark.
• Perform duties such as:
  • Documenting implemented solutions.
  • Deciphering program logic.
  • Adhering to stringent change control processes.
• Work independently or in a team setting, demonstrating an analytical mindset while collaborating and sharing knowledge across teams.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in database work with the ability to transform and manipulate data.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database (or any other relational database).
• Solid understanding of:
  • Data modeling.
  • Entity relationships.
  • ETL methodologies.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, DMExpress, etc.
• Hands-on experience in loading/unloading JSONL, XML, and standard delimited file definitions.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing is an added advantage.
• Strong performance tuning skills with the ability to understand SQL execution plans.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
• Exposure to other database technologies like SQL Server, Snowflake, and Vertica.
• Experience with AWS technologies, including:
  • S3.
  • Athena.
  • EMR.
  • Overall hybrid environment architecture.
• General understanding of CRM methodologies and customer engagement modeling.
• Knowledge of MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.
