AtkinsRealis is hiring for the role of Estimation and Cost Management!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Prepare capital and operating expense estimates by relevant standards such as Method of Measurement for Highway Works, CESMM4, NRM01/02/03, RMM01/02, SMM07, IS1200, AACE, and so on.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for various types of projects based on specifications/available drawings or information.
• Create an assumption and exclusion list base estimate for the project's initial phases.
• Examine drawings and prepare an RFI for estimation queries.
• Prepare the BoQ. by the applicable standards.
• Prepare bottom-up and top-down estimates based on project requirements.
• Assure contractor estimates in terms of quantity, rate, risk and opportunity, inflation, and indirect works, among other things.
• Prepare an assurance report indicating the observation.
• Keep track of progress and prepare cost reports.
• Specialist cost management/quantity surveying consultancies with experience in the construction industry will be advantageous. Experience with cost consulting (pre-contracting required).
• RICS Chartered membership will be advantageous.

Requirements:

• Prior experience preparing pre- and post-contract construction estimates.
• Exposure to ME, UK, and US-based projects will be advantageous.
• Understanding of relevant rates, as well as rate benchmarking against other projects of a similar nature.
• Knowledge of relevant rates, rate benchmarking, location factors, productivity, and so on.
• Knowledge of estimation and cost management software CostX is a MUST.
