Equity Valuation Research Analyst Job in Mumbai at CRISIL

Crisil is hiring for the role of Equity Valuation Research Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide valuation services to clients for a variety of purposes
• Building financial models as per business and industry dynamics
• Using various valuation techniques like Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Market comparable approach, etc.
• Identify Comparable companies and compute multiples and benchmarking with peers to compare growth and profitability
• Create reports conveying the valuation with rationale and detailing assumptions
• Conduct ad-hoc research based on instructions provided
• Conduct valuation of client portfolios including loans, equities, NCDs, CCPS, OCPS, derivatives, AIFs, etc.
• Analysis of business and its instruments, credit quality, cash flows, discounting rate, and covenant monitoring
• Assessing expected credit loss (ECL) for recovery estimation for defaulted exposures
• Collaborate with the Industry/sector research teams on products like equity valuations, and recovery-based valuation assessments.
• Responsible for client coordination along with keeping a good understanding of client requirements, portfolios, and methodology
• Focus on outreach via franchise – Engage with stakeholders through articles, white papers, webinars, and thematic pieces
• Developing new products in valuation space for financial reporting, tax, bankruptcy code, and other purposes
• Support senior management in ad-hoc assignments
• Keeping track of new trends and updates in the relevant domain area

Requirements:

• CA or MBA with a good academic track record
• 2-3 years of experience in valuation, equity research role
• Relevant experience (at Big4 or reputed CA firms) in valuation space or IndAs implementation space will be an added advantage
• Experience in Rating agencies, equity research, or IB firms will also be considered
