Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Developing engineers on the team, helping them advance in their careers
• Understanding what a high-quality developer experience works like
• Collecting and analyzing data to inform the team’s approach
• Talking to our customers learning about their challenges, and
• Guiding your team to deliver the right results
• Understanding how low-level system details (such as kernel and OS versions, parameters, configuration, and code) impact the correctness, efficiency, security, and performance of Stripe’s production workloads
• Hiring and growing Stripes to build a team of engineers

Requirements:

• 3+ years of engineering management experience
• 2+ years of cloud development or management experience
• Experience using in-depth knowledge of operating systems to solve technical problems
• Detailed technical knowledge of Linux performance and security
• Experience running highly efficient teams
