Nuventure Connect is hiring for the role of Engineering Manager!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• You will build and lead an Infrastructure Ops team responsible for critical cloud infrastructure, technical engineering, capacity and lifecycle management, and service delivery.
• This includes the end-to-end execution of complex technical projects, from conceptualization and vendor selection or internal resource dedication to project delivery.
• Your technical expertise will enable you to make informed recommendations to business stakeholders.
• You should be able to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders to facilitate business outcomes.
• You will collaborate with and manage external vendors, including the evaluation of proposals and development of Statements of Work (SOWs) for technical projects.
• You will help define the cloud architecture across the organization, prioritizing initiatives that maximize impact and effectiveness and contribute to our overall emerging technology strategy.
• Your team will deliver predictable results in a large organization while developing a compelling vision, and strategy, and overseeing long-term planning for the team.
• You will work with other Engineering teams, to drive projects in an Agile environment

Requirements:

• A strong technical background with demonstrated expertise and significant experience working at a technology company, likely as an engineering or DevOps leader.
• Excellent communication skills, including especially the ability to convey complicated and nuanced technical concepts to an audience of business stakeholders.
• You will often represent the Chief Technology Officer in meetings with internal teams and vendors.
  Technical architecture expertise in data-driven projects, including defining required data pipelines and processes.
• Proven ability to manage a cross-functional technical team to build, secure, and manage Production infrastructure.
• Proven ability to successfully collaborate with, assess, and manage outside vendors.
• The right person will have experience in writing up SOWs for tech projects including areas where experimentation is required and not all parameters are known in advance.
  Strategic thinking, specifically the ability to shape and implement technology strategy within the organization.
• You can then translate that strategy into tangible projects and business outcomes
• Experience building and managing application infrastructure on AWS
• Experience driving enterprise infrastructure automation with a focus on cloud infrastructure and proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Cloudformation, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Strong experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Node.js
