Engineering Associate Job in Navi Mumbai at Marriott

Marriott is hiring for the position of Engineering Associate!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment
• Maintain and conduct daily inspections of the mechanical plant
• Monitor and control property temperature and analyse energy and utilities usage
• Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, and other equipment
• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, etc
• Perform routine pool and spa maintenance
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests’ service needs
• Speak with others using clear and professional language
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Requirements:

• A degree or diploma in a relevant engineering field (such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management) might be preferred
• Relevant work experience in a similar role, especially in the hospitality industry or related fields, could be beneficial
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to building systems and maintenance
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used for repairs and maintenance
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members, guests, and other departments within the hotel
• Clear communication of maintenance and repair issues to the appropriate parties.
• Skill in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues
• Ability to find solutions quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions
• Thoroughness in conducting inspections and repairs to ensure all systems are functioning properly and safely
• Willingness to work as part of a team and collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly
• Providing a high level of service to guests and responding promptly to their requests
