Hero is hiring for the role of Engineer - VV Premium!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for electric vehicles, encompassing performance, durability, functionality, safety, and compliance testing.
• Conduct hands-on testing activities, both in laboratory and field environments, to validate vehicle performance, functionality, and durability under various operating conditions.
• Instrument test vehicles to record data from vehicle CAN and other sensors.
• Analyze test data using data analysis software and prepare results to identify trends, anomalies, and performance metrics.
• Generate comprehensive test reports and documentation, including database management, summarizing findings, test procedures, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues encountered during testing, collaborating with Centers of Competence (COCs) to propose and implement effective solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, preparing new fixtures for tests to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of testing activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automobile Engineering.
• Proven experience in electric two-wheeler testing or automotive testing with a focus on EV systems.
• Good knowledge of electric vehicle architecture, propulsion systems, battery technology, validation methods, and charging infrastructure.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in EV data logging, knowledge of CAN protocol, and experience in relevant software tools for test data analysis (CANalyzer/DiaLog, etc.).
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing electric vehicles and automotive safety (e.g., AIS, UN ECE regulations).
• Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
