Engineer/Supervisor Job at Abilities India Pistons & Rings Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day operations in the Steel Ring Production department.
• Plan, organize, and monitor production activities to meet daily/weekly targets.
• Ensure adherence to process parameters, quality standards, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores for smooth production flow.
• Identify process deviations, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize resource utilization – manpower, machines, and materials.
• Maintain accurate production reports, shift logs, and downtime analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Lean practices).
• Train, guide, and motivate operators/workers to enhance productivity.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and workplace discipline.

Must-Have Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical knowledge of steel ring / metal component manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in machine handling, process monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to manage teams and handle shift operations independently.
• Good knowledge of quality standards and production documentation.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and ERP systems (preferred).

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-6 years of experience in steel ring
• Prior experience in a supervisory / shift-in-charge role is essential.
