Engineer - Structural Engineering Job in Bangalore at RTX

RTX is hiring for the role of Engineer - Structural Engineering!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Perform state-of-the-art AstrNSYS finite element analysis for stress, vibration, determination of low cycle fatigue life, and residual life (fracture mechanics) prediction.
• Stress and life changes after repairs and in-service field investigations.
• Participate as an active member in cross-discipline integrated product teams to provide design solutions that balance performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Provide analytical aftermarket support to maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) services.
• Develop and incorporate new ways to advance technology and improve processes as an individual and as a team contributor.

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and 1+ year of prior relevant experience
• Structural Analysis experience
• Experience utilizing ANSYS or other FEA software
• Experience working in the Aerospace Industry
• Strong mechanical aptitude to understand the interactions of complex assemblies and how to translate those interactions into sound analytical assumptions
• Previous gas turbine experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
• Experience with software and programming languages. APDL, Workbench, ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, MATLAB, VBA, Python, C++, Fortran, MS Office, NX Teamcenter and SAP
