Engineer: Product Design Job in Bangalore at Molex

Molex is hiring for the role of Engineer: Product Design!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Lead and execute NPD and MOD projects to achieve organizational goals and targets.
• Develop concept models, drawings, and product specifications in line with customer requirements (VOC).
• Conduct and facilitate design reviews, DFM/DFMEA/PFMEA sessions, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Perform FEA, stamping, and injection molding simulations to optimize product designs.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design optimization, correlation activities, and product improvement.
• Promote innovation, knowledge sharing, and team participation in technology discussions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in design and product development.
• Proficiency in CAD tools like NX and Teamcenter.
• Strong understanding of engineering mechanics, GD&T, and tolerance studies.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex technical concepts.
• Experience with FEA tools such as Hypermesh and simulations of stamping or injection molding processes.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using tools like 8D, fishbone, and cause-effect diagrams.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and product development processes.
• Alignment with PBM philosophy and a proactive, self-driven learning approach.
