Engineer - Power Electronics Job in Pune at Eaton

Eaton is hiring for the role of Engineer - Power Electronics!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Execute Systems/Sub-system/Component level Plant Modeling (Mathematical) analysis for product/systems design and development of various Eaton products in the domain of Power Electronics.
• Partner with global teams, understand the design intent and develop and validate models to substantiate the designs of various systems, sub-systems, and components. 
• Provide technical information and engineering recommendations for projects/processes. 
• Execute complex engineering projects. Executes key tasks associated with the project independently and by collaborating with cross-functional disciplines. The candidate will be responsible for Internal & External Communications, which is critical to success. 
• Guide and mentor engineers on critical technical deliverables.
• Develop simulation models of power electronics systems/sub-systems/components using Matlab SIMULINK/PLCES.
• Analyze & optimize designs through plant (mathematical) models and control development.
• Work on SIL/HIL simulations for validation of firmware, control algorithms, and drives.
• Develop Python scripts for automation of model simulations and host the digital models on servers/PC/Hardware.
• Deliver deep insights through system modeling and simulations for robust product development to meet all performance requirements/CTQs.
• Partner with global teams to understand the design intent and develop and validate models to substantiate the designs of various components & systems. 
• Perform project engineering work independently; communicate expectations, plans, and requirements; also coordinate all work within the scope of assigned projects.  
• Provide technical information and engineering recommendations for improvement of product designs and associated processes. 
• Ensure on-time delivery and quality performance results in all work deliveries.
• Provide novel solutions/concepts (complementing with Innovation Disclosures & Patents, Technical papers) to strengthen and drive innovation.

Requirements:

• MTech/MS - Power Electronics/Power Electronics and Power Systems
• 0-2 years of experience
• Developing simulation models (MATLAB/PLECS) of Power Electronics Sub-system/components for mobility/Aerospace/power distribution systems with strong engineering fundamentals
• Strong knowledge of Plant and control model development with a clear understanding of model in loop development
• Python scripting knowledge for model hosting/automation/report generation and SIL/HIL validations is preferable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
