Engineer- Piping Job in Chennai at Wood

Wood is hiring for the role of Engineer- Piping!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Carrying out various piping activities and preparation of deliverables as identified in the Functional Competencies as necessary on their appointed project.
• Signing drawings and documents as originator in accordance with correct procedures.
• Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities etc.
• Execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures and client and projects standards.
• Adhering to company’s engineering procedures for design safety and adopting safe attitudes towards engineering design and raising features affecting the safety and integrity of the project with appropriate authorities.
• Correct implementation of all piping CAD and system related functions in their appointed area.

Requirements:

• BE (Mechanical) with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Familiar with functioning and requirements of piping and plant design group having main strength in at least one area of piping design discipline.
• Has worked with similar consulting companies or related industries on a project and/ has gained a solid foundation from a recognised industry on-job training course of at least two year duration.
• Has experience in assisting to produce common piping deliverables including; plot plans, isometrics, 3D models and other basic drawings required for an engineering project.
