Kohler is hiring for the role of Engineer - Packaging Engineering!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Create detailed CAD drawings based on engineering specifications, sketches, and input from engineers.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes or improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Maintain drawing standards and documentation in accordance with company and industry guidelines.
• Perform tolerance analysis and basic calculations to support design decisions.
• Prepare layouts, assembly drawings, and part details for manufacturing.
• Manage and organize CAD files.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the design and development of packaging for existing products.
• Conduct packaging performance testing (e.g., drop, vibration, compression).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Support packaging documentation, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Evaluate packaging materials and suppliers for cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
• Participate in packaging line trials and validation activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting packaging issues in manufacturing and logistics.
• Stay updated on packaging trends, materials, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a positive team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering. 
• 2–5 years of experience in packaging design or engineering
• Familiarity with CAD software e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Artios CAD
• Basic understanding of packaging materials (plastics, paperboard, corrugate, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to travel as required (domestically and internationally)
