AtkinsRealis is hiring for the role of Engineer I to Lead Engineer - Project Controls!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Ensure that the Atkins processes are applied from bidding and project setup, through to project execution and closure.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to produce a Cost Breakdown Structure based on the project Work Breakdown Structure to set up governance requirements in discussion with the Project Manager/s.
• Establish an effective Cost Breakdown Structure based on the project Work Breakdown Structure and establish governance requirements in discussion with the Project Manager/s.
• Work with scheduling staff to develop, manage, revise, and update integrated detailed project schedules including all phases of project execution.
• Prepare processes and tools to carry out pricing estimates based on project stakeholders’ input.
• Track and analyze the project costs including budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, forecasts, and contingencies analysis.
• Engage regularly with project stakeholders to gather their input and get agreement.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement, automation, and lean techniques to bring consistency and efficiencies across projects, programs, and portfolios in project controls, cost, and schedule management.
• Produce forecasts of total project costs, annual costs, and monthly cash flow costs and provide variance analysis and explanations. Carries out an earned value and project performance analysis of the project periodically.
• Monitor, control, and analyze the project cost and schedule information, identify variances, and bring these to the attention of the Project Manager with possible alternatives. Prepare specific reports to facilitate challenge and analysis to meet the project’s specific needs.
• Produce and issue cost reports to the client and project team, including key project indicators.
• Analyze and understand large sets of data (turn this analysis into Actionable steps) and develop customized ad hoc reports. Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Client-facing with excellent language, report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of earned value concepts and calculations.
• Proficiency in cost management tools such as Ecosys and report preparation skills
• Preferable - PMIS Software knowledge – Primavera, Unifier, Ares Prism, Ecosys
• Practiced in Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
• Proficient in Financial System Interface
• Proficient in Budget/Cost Control
• Practiced in Contingency Management
• Proficient in Cost Change Control
• Exposure to NEC3 / NEC 4 Contracts
• Must have a strong understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method) concepts and calculations.
