Solavio Labs Pvt Ltd is looking for a Engineer to design, test, and build robots that are productive and safe to operate as well as economical to purchase, for our growing start-up. You’ll be part of a dynamic, energetic team that have complete responsibility to ensure our services and products attract the eyes of global consumers. You’ll be part of a technically challenging environment with an excellent track record of creating new intellectual property through patents and trade secrets.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical engineering, or Computer Science with related practical experience in robotics.
- Prior experience in designing and implementing machine controls systems, using PLC or embedded controllers.
- At least 2+ years of experience in Robotics, embedded systems and micro controllers
- Knowledge of C, C++, LabView, .Net
- Ability to work with Audrino, Raspberry Pi, ARM processor etc
- Working knowledge of robotics platforms.
- Experience working with sensors, actuators, and motors
- Solid understanding and experience in design patterns, data structures and advanced programming techniques
- Excellent knowledge of embedded software such as: interrupts, ADCs, DMA, SPI, inter-processor communication, protocols, and clock management

Scope of Work
- Design robotic software systems
- Design software for electromechanical equipment or systems, and advanced displays, advanced sensing, robotic platforms, computer vision.
- Research and develop new algorithms and methods for collision detection and avoidance.
- Conduct research into effective, optimized path planning algorithms.
- Conduct research on robotic software technology to create new robotic systems or system capabilities.
- Support design of IoT hardware products.
- Build robust embedded software, firmware, drivers and frameworks to run on IoT devices.
- Engage in product quality assurance. Develop test frameworks and operational tools for embedded software and hardware.
- Active and passive component search, BoM preparation and vendor communication.
- Analyze problem and initiate corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis, verification of cause, design change, verification of solutions and etc.
- Collaborate on the architecture, design, implementation, and delivery of robotics embedded software
- Solve complex problems with elegant solutions and apply judgment and experience to balance trade-offs between competing interests in resource-constrained systems
- Evaluate potential new features to fielded products to continue to delight our customers
- Participate in the evaluation and guidance for Solavio's next-gen products
- Participate in mentoring and educating the team on trends, technologies, and best practice

Technical Competencies
- Experience with dynamic system analysis, feedback control systems (PID Control, MFA)
- Experience with modeling/statistical software such as Simulink, R, MATLAB Machine Learning Toolbox.
- Familiar with microcontrollers, PLC, sensor technology, machine vision, 3D sensors and associated data processing libraries
- Robotics toolkits similar to ROS, and interfacing them to PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens) or other controllers.
- Audrino, Raspberry Pi and ARM processor programing and control
