Engineer – Control Systems - Steam Turbine Division Job in Noida at General Electric

General Electric is hiring for the role of Engineer – Control Systems - Steam Turbine Division!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Performing design and development documents like Controls system Architecture drawings, IO List, Functional Control Description, Control Logic Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, and PLC / DCS Installation Design documents during the ITO (Tendering) and OTR (Execution) phase of projects.
• Developing or Validating Control system Application Software logic on PLC/DCS/ Turbine control system Platforms including HMI / SCADA.
• Being an interface with suppliers for preliminary costing, component selection, and submittal document review
• Understanding and assessing customer problems and determining appropriate means of solution, Interface with customers to resolve queries on submitted Controls & Instrumentation designs documents.
• Participating in HAZOP meetings with internal teams and customers.
• Supporting plant commissioning.
• Following up proactively & doing the input management to track and trace documents and material through the document management team, and expediting team. 
• Participating in design review and design freeze meetings and ensure the corrective actions defined by the design review are closed on time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation and control, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Basic understanding of controls systems Engineering design and programming of Power Plants/Oil & Gas/ Petro- Chemical Plants
• Strong technical and scientific know-how and willingness to continuously extend and develop it,
• Basic Knowledge of power plants and their sub-components
• Ability to travel extensively in support of assignments
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
• Thorough knowledge of Control system Networks and protocols, e.g.Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, Modbus, OPC etc.
• Knowledge of Software development platforms like Python/C++
