EMI-EMC Simulation Engineer Job in Bangalore at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India

Mercedes Benz is hiring for the role of EMI-EMC Simulation Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Understanding schematic and design flow
• Creating EMI/EMC simulation execution plan with critical nets
• Collecting simulation models interacting with vendors
• Performing board-level SI/PI & EMI/EMC simulation using ANSYS/CST tool
• Assisting in system modeling in a simulation environment as per required standards
• Performing product level EMI/EMC simulation including enclosure, cables & connector models
• Assisting in far-field and near-field analysis
• Creating simulation reports as per compliance standards
• Assisting in EMI scanning and identifying vulnerable areas on board
• Finding the root cause for the EMI/EMC failures with iterative simulation runs
• Providing recommendations to improve EMI/EMC issues
• Performing data correlations between simulation results and lab measurements
• Assisting in RF pre & post layout simulations
• Managing small and medium-complexity projects with minimal supervision
• Interacting with cross-functional teams and clients

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
• Must have experience in CST, HFSS, FEKO, LT Spice, PSpice tools, or equivalent
• Must have experience in S-Parameter, Coupling simulations, PCB Conducted Emission Simulation, PCB Radiated Emission Simulation, RF pre-post layout simulations, EMI/EMC simulations - RE, CE, RI, CI, ESD, EFT, Surge
• Solid understanding of circuits and PCB layouts
• Sound knowledge of Electromagnetics & TL theory, signal integrity, and power integrity
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC certification standards
• Experience in 3D modeling and simulations of cable and cable harness
• Experience with Schematics design tools, PCB Design Tools, and Circuit Simulation tools
• Experience in high-speed design, including board layout techniques
• Experience in PCB stack-up design and analysis
• Knowledge of hardware design for Industrial products (digital/analog/communication)
• Experience in troubleshooting EMI issues with good knowledge of hardware design
• Good in communication & ability to work well in a diverse, cross-functional, and global team
