Electrical Engineer - Surface Team Job in Bangalore at Microsoft

Microsoft is hiring for the role of Electrical Engineer - Surface Team!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• You will work in display and touch module development as electrical engineer, spanning both SW and HW competencies
• You will be responsible for analog/digital mixed circuit design, working with display and touch vendors, in order to develop display and touch module and to integrate the module to the mobile PC system
• You will also look after software - hardware boundary for display and touch system integration
• You will create the specification for software design, and support software development team to deliver device and system software solutions
• You will work for the Surface team to scope system and component level electronics design, cost analysis and product software integration plan for display and touch devices, collaborate the other team stakeholder (Program Management, software and hardware development teams, SOC, display, touch, TCON and touch controller vendors), execute the engineering development and deliver E2E display and touch solutions to product

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2 to 10 years technical engineering experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4 to 12 years technical engineering experience
  • OR equivalent experience
• Experience in system EE design, board design (schematic and layout), board bring-up, rework and validation capabilities
• Basic EE design knowledge, power distribution (buck, boost, LDO), analog switching, high-speed digital circuit including low-voltage differential signaling, design tolerance and noise mitigation
• Experience in consumer IT device EE development, PC, smartphones, tablets, and/or IoT edge devices
• Experience in display and touch interface technology (I2C, SPI, eDP, MIPI DSI)
• Experience in display and touch EE integration - TCON Display Driver interconnect, Panel PMIC, Touch controller integration experience including EMI/RFI mitigation - is considered as big plus
