About this Job
McDermott is hiring for the post of Electrical Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Prepare key project deliverables, including (but not limited to) Specifications and Datasheets, Electrical Load List, Motor control schematics, Cost and planning studies
- Support Project Development and Coordination
- Maintain and promote a focus on McDermott’s end-product throughout engineering, fabrication, or construction
- Report to and coordinate with the electrical engineering project lead and electrical task lead, as applicable
- Create requisition packages for Substations, Transformers, and Electrical materials
- Attend Inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of electrical equipment, motors, and associated skids
- Provide off-site and/or on-site technical support to Construction personnel
- Provide technical support for Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of electrical equipment
Requirements:
- Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Prefer PE or EIT certificate of registration
- Familiarity with the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines, including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ANSI, and the latest scientific and engineering methods
- Technical knowledge of the detailed design engineering process
- Experience with Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), ETAP, and MS Office Suit
- Experience with Excel and Word
