Stantec is hiring for the role of Electrical Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Review input received from the client and understand the scope of work, planning accordingly without changing design intent.
• Prepare basic plant/site layouts and general arrangement drawings.
• Understand and implement end-client design and drafting systems and standards in work.
• Coordinate with other disciplines' designers and engineers as applicable.
• Coordinate with BIM/CAD Lead concerning project requirements.
• Visualize and produce clash-free 3D models using Navisworks/Revit and similar tools from the Bentley suite of software.
• Utilize strong analytical capabilities and work independently.
• Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
• Commit to safe work practices.
• Function as a good team player.
• Provide input into projects with minimal supervision.
• Prioritize work products based on project schedule.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrate 3D modeling and design awareness of, and/or willingness to learn, electrical software applications such as Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Utilize Autodesk AutoCAD proficiently.
• Possess knowledge of the BIM environment.
• Function as a good team player.
• Exhibit good oral and written communication skills.
• Devise new solutions to problems encountered.
• Seek guidance for unusual or complex problems.
• Maintain good knowledge of other engineering disciplines' needs and interfaces.
• Apply advanced CAD software skills in support of design.
• Display advanced presentation skills.
