Mastercard is hiring for the role of Economics Analyst 2!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Manage stakeholders and project engagements for the Economics Institute.
• Identify creative and useful additional analyses required and suggest new paradigms for recommendations.
• Handle and analyze large and complex datasets, including big data and macroeconomic data, to extract valuable insights.
• Identify trends, patterns, issues, and anomalies in the defined area of analysis, and structure and synthesize your analysis to highlight relevant findings.
• Synthesize analyses into clear, sound recommendations; take responsibility for structuring and writing reports and client-ready presentations at a workstream or project level.
• Participate in new solution development and support thought leadership activities, ensuring knowledge, know-how, and best practices are shared and leveraged internally to continuously improve quality and productivity.
• Collect and synthesize feedback from clients, enhance existing products, and partner with domains for new solutions. Provide functional and technical requirements for the development of new products and solutions.

Requirements:

• Graduate degree with experience in data analytics, particularly in business intelligence, predictive or prescriptive analytics.
• A Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience analyzing large datasets and synthesizing key findings.
• Proficiency in SQL and utilizing the Hadoop framework using Impala, Hive, or PySpark is essential.
• Expertise in R, Python, or other major statistical packages is a must.
• Extensive experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• A strong understanding of Statistics and Econometric concepts, including time series modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Willingness to learn additional statistical applications or visualization tools using HTML as required.
• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
