Door Design Engineer Internship in Bengaluru at L&T Technology Services

L&T Technology Services is hiring for the role of Door Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and develop door systems for various applications, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify customer needs and industry trends.
• Create detailed design specifications, including drawings, calculations, and material specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that door systems meet architectural, structural, and safety requirements.
• Supervise the fabrication and installation of door systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the design or installation process.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest industry technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

• Design Considering the Package, master sections, styling, vehicle regulation & performance.
• Experience in Door BIW Skin Feasibility check, Hinge axis fixing, Beam/Impact Member Layout fixing, and Master section Creation.
• Experience in Door BIW 3D modeling (Front & Rear Door OTR PNL, INR PNL, Frame ASSY, hinge, latch REINF's, OTR, INR rail, UPR MBR).
• Design stage interactions with digital designer, package in charge, electronics teams, door mechanism, and other engineering teams.
• OEM experience in Product Development with experience in the complete life cycle.
• Good knowledge of sheet metal design.
• Should Have Experience with Asian/Japanese Customers.
• Intermediate checking with cross-functional team and check Module level.
• Need to understand the Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Guide team on continuous quality improvement.
• Discussion with Onsite & customer and align Maturation with the Project schedule.
• Knowledge of Door Regulation for the Asian and European markets.
• Worked in least two complete life cycles of Door design.
• Knowledge of Product Quality, Product Finance, and cost.
• Have Experience in supplier selection based on complexity and tool cost.
• Good knowledge of the Stamping process.
• 3D,2D and 3DA experience in Catia V5 & Catia V6 20. Should understand the weld gun layout and layout Check sheet.
