Domain Trainee - Reinsurance Job in Gurgaon at Genpact

Genpact is hiring for the role of Domain Trainee - Reinsurance!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Understand all reinsurance processes and research/process daily assumed/ceded reinsurance new business and renewal transactions
• Balance the placement of new and renewal reinsurance treaties, understanding how each program supports activities such as premium growth, surplus ratio management, or reducing exposure to catastrophic loss
• Provide facultative support and services to clients in the UK, US, and APAC regions.
• Adhere to underwriting rules and guidelines, developing strong customer relationships by providing outstanding service
• Regularly meet with business unit leaders and the Head of Reinsurance to discuss the strategic value of reinsurance placements, making recommendations on the placement of new treaties
• Maintain a work tracking system to provide up-to-date and accurate metrics on facultative reinsurance submission and premium booking activity
• Handle exceptions for complex facultative reinsurance agreements that require processing outside the standard workflow

Requirements:

• Experience in P&C (Property & Casualty) reinsurance, particularly in facultative and treaty reinsurance
• Good understanding of the reinsurance underwriting cycle from submissions to certificate issuance
• Knowledge of endorsement processing and premium calculations
• Exposure to the UK and US reinsurance markets
• Preferred certifications in insurance and reinsurance, such as LM1, LM2, IIA, and ARE
• Advanced Excel knowledge
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good analytical skills
