Burns & McDonnell India is hiring for the role of Diploma Designer Trainee - Mechanical!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the Supervisor.
• Shadowing senior members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible.
• Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
• Participating in design review meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives.
• Taking notes and sharing findings with the supervisor.
• Establishing professional relationships with the team and colleagues.
• Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence.
• Preparing piping layouts and conceptual design in 2D CAD.
• Modeling- 3D of piping, extraction of drawings, isometrics, and MTO from 3D Model, identifying and solving of clash report, conversion of extracted drawings to AutoCAD.
• Coordinating with other disciplines.
• Reviewing drawings, and vendor equipment documentation, both within the discipline as well as from other fields, for compliance with project requirements and actively seeking resolution.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in the English language and must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent learning ability.
• Knowledge & understanding of design software such as SP3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, and Excel will be an added advantage.
