Digital Finance Analyst Job in Gurgaon at The Economist

The Economist is hiring for the ROLE of Digital Finance Analyst!

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Financial planning including Budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Providing business partnering to key stakeholders for all matters including variance analysis and tracking of capital expenditure.
• Working with local Leadership Teams to support the development of local budgets and/or forecasts to ensure overall business performance is maintained.
• Assisting with the preparation of reports and analyses for various board and management presentations.
• Working closely with accountants and other finance teams to deliver monthly reporting to the business, and the Group to timetable, ensuring correct capturing of costs by division, squad, department, product, and project.
• Delivering ad-hoc analysis where required, using the ability to carve through relevant information and provide meaningful and in-depth insight.
• Collaborating with Programme Managers and/or Senior Delivery Leads to ensure cost control of key change initiatives and escalate where necessary.
• Working in conjunction with other local and global Finance teams to drive best practices and consistent processes.
• Utilizing all our systems in developing business-focused reporting. This includes; Microsoft Office (Excel = Advanced level), G-Suite, and Anaplan.

Requirements:

• Professional Finance qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is essential or qualified through experience. With 1-2 years post-qualified experience.
• Experience working with non-financial stakeholders to deliver cost control and targeted saving initiatives.
• Strong financial modeling skills, with the ability to model quickly and accurately under time pressure if required.
• A high level of quality and accuracy is required as the audience of outputs is typically senior executives (including the CEO, CFO, and other organization Leadership Team members).
• Excellent presentation and business writing skills and ability to convey a message that is understandable and relevant, linking business issues, financial results, and strategy.
